Loosing weight can be quite difficult sometimes. As a health coach I have worked with women who have have tried many different diets and yet they never achieved the long lasting results they wanted
In my opinion, diets never work.. if you want to see result that last, you have to eat healthy. As I always say, Its all about a balanced lifestyle.
It is about nourishing your body with the right type of healthy food.
Here are 7 tips that can help you along the way:
The 80% – 20% rule: It’s all about being flexible. Let the 80% of your food be completely natural (wholefoods, non-processed food etc) and the 20% at your choice.
Remove refined sugar: Replace it with coconut sugar, organic brown sugar, organic stevia or raw honey.
Reduce the Alcohol: Lets be honest here. There is nothing wrong in having a glass of wine once or twice a week. The problem comes when you indulge too much in alcoholic beverages. Do not drink more than 2 glasses of alcohol and no more than twice a week. And Pleaseee ditch those cocktails that are super high in sugar.
Drink plenty of water: 2 liters per day and if you are a very active person drink 3liters.
Exercise: I cannot stress enough how important it is for your overall health to exercise regularly. It’s not about hitting the gym 7 days a week and exhaust yourself, but choose and activity that you enjoy that will keep you active.
Get enough sleep: If you don’t have enough sleep at night your body will not be able to burn fat during the day. Aim to sleep 7 to 8 hours per night.
Meditate: If you are one of those people who are constantly stressed you need to start practicing meditation or some sore of relaxing activity. When our immune system is under stressed situations it starts elevating cortisol levels and as a result your body will storage energy as fat.
Practice these 7 steps and you will start seeing positive results in your life.
