I am Samanda Montilla a certified Integrative Nutrition health coach and barre instructor who helps women become the best version of themselves from the inside out.
For years I thought I had a healthy lifestyle. My diet consisted on eating lots of salads (with a can of soda on the side of course); cutting carbs from my diet, having small meal portions every 3 hours and going to the gym every other day. I was stuck in this cycle for a long period of my life.
Since I never listened to what my body really needed, I ended up being addicted to processed foods,sodas and alcohol.
As the years went by, I started to see how my food choices affected my health.I developed gastritis; my energy levels went really low. I suffered from liquid retention (aka cellulite). In short, my health and body were literally a mess.
After years of struggling with these issues, I decided to take matters into my own hands. I educated myself about health and nutrition. I began this journey by reading books, and researching more about nutrition.
My life started to change as soon as I became aware of where my food was coming from and how important it is to have a balanced lifestyle.
By the time I got my bachelors degree in Communication, I knew that health and nutrition had always been my passion. I enrolled at the Institute for Integrative Nutrition where I received my certificate as an Integrative Nutrition Health Coach.
This journey has led me where I am today. I believe that the key to a balanced lifestyle not only involves eating healthy, but also having a balance in your personal life, career, relationships and spirituality.
